Below we are outlining the process for delivering a video to a client, from the Assembly edit to Final Delivery.

Not every video project will go through each of the following stages, but we have outlined them here:

Stage 0: Assembly

We don’t normally send these to clients, but in case we do, here’s an explanation:

In an assembly, we pull out the best parts of the interview and all footage filmed for the job. This is not a story, just a loose collection of good-looking shots that our editors will use to tell your story in the edit.

Stage 1: First Draft

In a first draft we are looking for your input on the building blocks of the video. There are no graphic overlays, transitions, colour correction, audio processing, etc. added to this video. The intention of this stage of this video is for you to sign off on the overarching story, the words and the shots that will be the foundations of this edit.

Stage 2: Second Draft

The second draft incorporates your feedback from the first draft. At this stage, we've refined the story structure and made adjustments based on your input. We've also started to add some basic graphic elements, transitions, and preliminary color grading. While not final, these elements give you a better sense of the video's direction. We're looking for your approval on these new additions and any final major changes to the content.

Stage 3: Fine Cut

This is a fine cut which is a near-final version of your video. At this stage, all major elements are in place: the story is locked, graphics are mostly finalised, colour correction is applied, and the audio has been balanced. We welcome your feedback we’re hoping you love this edit! 😊

Stage 4: Final Delivery

This is the polished, web-ready version of your video. All elements have been finalised based on your previous feedback. The color grading is complete, audio has been professionally mixed, and all graphics and text elements are in their final form.

Upon your final approval, this is the version that will be delivered for your use or distribution.

Stage 5: Revisions (if necessary)

While we strive to meet all your needs in the previous stages, we understand that sometimes additional changes may be required after final delivery. If you need any revisions, please provide clear, specific feedback. Depending on the scope of the changes, this may incur additional costs and extend the project timeline. We're committed to ensuring you're completely satisfied with the final product.
