Our emails should have a personal touch with a greeting and reference to a recent meeting, event, file, etc.

Here’s an example of a bad email, changed to a client-worthy email:

The bad: Subject:

McCarthy Stone Viewpoint Video for review. They have had a few versions of this already, and now this is the one that will be showed to the decision makers. The video’s been checked off. Waiting for approval from the decision maker Shane. Along with the video, there are stills from the footage from the filming, all in a folder called images.”

The good: Subject: v8.1 Film for review

”Nicki, Nick!

How great it was, to see you both yesterday.

Here is the v8.1 film for review with Shane. The images are in the package too.
